Financial Accounting 2 builds upon the preceding Financial Accounting papers in Professional Level 1 and Foundation level. The paper addresses the need for qualified accountants both to have an awareness of current thought, debates and developments affecting the financial reporting, and the ability to apply relevant financial reporting standards to advanced accounting topics. 

The aim of this paper is to develop and examine your ability:

1. To critically evaluate current thought and developments in international financial accounting and reporting
2. To apply knowledge and professional judgement in an assessment of the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards and other reporting requirements
