Activating eBook Codes

This link will take you to a page about redeeming your eBook code/s or follow the steps below:

If you purchase an eBook through this website, we'll send you an email containing your Redeem code/s.

  1. Click on the link in the email - this will take you to online.vitalsource.com
  2. Create a VitalSource account
  3. Click on the button to "Redeem code"
  4. Input your Redeem code
    You only need to do this once and your book(s) will be added to your Bookshelf

If you are accessing your eBook with a code in your printed material, or you are provided with an eBook code by a third party:

  1. Go to online.vitalsource.com;
  2. Register for an account (first time only) and verify your email address;
  3. Select ‘Redeem Codes’ from the homepage;
  4. Enter your Redeem code/s when prompted. You will only have to do this once for initial activation of each product;
  5. We recommend that you download the Desktop App as well as the Phone App to enable you to work offline. You can download the VS App here

Which internet browser should I use?

We advise that you use Google Chrome or Firefox when accessing and downloading our eBooks and apps. Please ensure you regularly clear your internet cache through your Settings to prevent any access issues.

Can I access my eBook offline?

Yes, you can access your eBook offline on mobile and tablet devices.

Can my eBook expire?

Access to your eBook (including via desktop or mobile app) will continue for a period of 18 months from the date you activate the eBook using the redeem code. However, if your account is unused for a period of three months, your account may be deactivated. Your account will be reactivated (up to the period of 18 months from the date of your confirmation email if you bought your eBook through this website, or the date you redeem your code directly in VitalSource.) upon logging into your account, but you may lose any previously stored notes, annotations or bookmarks.

Can I print my eBook?

No, there is no printing capability available for our eBooks.

Can I download the eBook as a PDF or use it outside of the app?

No, the content is protected and will remain within the app.

What devices support your eBooks?

Apple – the Bookshelf App requires iOS 13 to run

Android – Bookshelf needs Android 5.0 software and later

Kindle Fire – Bookshelf needs Fire OS 5.4.0.1 or later

MAC – Bookshelf needs mac OS 10.13 or greater

Windows PC – Bookshelf needs Windows 10 (64-bit x86) version 10.0 16299 or later

Chromebook – Bookshelf needs Google Play Store

Can I return my eBook?

You may return your eBook and receive a refund within 14 days of purchase. However if you have accessed your eBook, you must request a refund within 3 working days from purchase. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.
